The Kitsunezuka clan went low key glamming on Christmas Eve and full out camping for the last two days of the year, returning just in time for me to eat lunch and head over to the local shrine to get things set up for hatsumode.

Hike with wife. I'm pretty cautious hiking solo around here there are plenty of places where there's no cell phone coverage and tricky terrain
She's not keen on camping and we don't have to do so with plenty of little mountains in easy driving distance.
